Applying for a Business License

The process of obtaining a business license begins by filling out a Business License Application. All new applications for business licenses require a license fee of $10. License renewals (which come due each May) are based on the businesses gross receipts within the City of Cameron. If the business has multiple locations, branches, warehouses, or storage units, an additional $10 fee is required for each site.

Other Requirements

Each business license applicant must provide a Certificate of No Tax Due from the Missouri Department of Revenue. This certificate ensures that the business is not delinquent in remitting sales tax to the State of Missouri. If a business does not make retail sales, it is not required to present a statement of no tax due in order to have a license issued. Instead, the applicant/owner must sign an Affidavit of No Tax Due declaring this situation.
