Cameron residents get their drinking water from a plant designed to treat 2.88 million gallons per day. The source of raw, untreated water for the plant lies in four reservoirs located to the north and west of the City.
The plant is staffed continually and throughout the treatment process, water samples are collected for thorough quality control testing. In addition, samples are submitted to the State Department of Natural Resources for routine testing and check-sampling.
The Water Treatment Plant is also the main contact for after-hours utility emergencies at 816-632-2844.
To provide quality water treatment that meets or exceeds regulatory requirements and produces reliable drinking water for the customers of the City of Cameron.
