City Receives Tree Inventory Grant

The Missouri Department of Conservation has notified the City of Cameron that the Department has approved the City’s application for a $7,019 grant to inventory some 4,000 existing trees along City streets.

The City of Cameron will have used power poles available to the public on Friday, September 17, 2010, from 1:00 to 4:00 p.m.

Storm Water & Parks Sales Tax Moves Forward

The Cameron City Council gave final approval August 16 to place a half-cent sales tax on the November ballot which would fund both storm water improvements and a Community Center.

New Streetscape Program Means Citizens Pay Less for Improvements

Residents will now pay only about one-fourth of the cost to upgrade their sidewalks, driveway approaches, curb & gutter and even street trees. And, the City will finance it for up to five years.
