Local Business/Chamber Members

Cameron is made up of nice, pleasant families with great personal and community pride. And, it's an unpretentious business leadership. . .men and women working at keeping the amount, type and speed of progress in a reasonable balance.

It's been this way from the town's start, and with the live-and-let-live community type atmosphere that prevails, this "comfort" label sure looks good for the future.

Jobs. Schools. Churches. Shops. Homes. Recreation. Friends.

It's all here.

Crossroads Water Tower
An elevated water tower is the perfect signboard and the City of Cameron chose this one to advertise its "Crossroads of the Nation" slogan which goes back to the mid 1800's when it became a prominent rail crossing. Now the term refers to the intersection of I-35 and US 36 through which pass 40,000 vehicles per day. A second similar tower is located a few hundred feet away and visitors are told that one is hot and the other cold.
