Missouri Veterans Home, Entrance Sign and Artillery
A number of military objects and art can be found at the Missouri Veterans Home including this retired 105 millimeter towed artillery piece. Members of the Veterans Assistance League located the surplus cannon and Missouri Army National Guard troops transported it to the display site at the home entrance.

It took 13 years of effort and persuasion to land the Missouri Veterans Home which has 200 residents and 200 staff. The Veterans Assistance League raised funds for a resident van, bus and recreational equipment. Volunteer fund-raising goes on year-round for Veterans Home residents.

Exterior view of the extended campus of the Missouri Veterans Home which was completed in 2000 and cost $17 million in mostly federal funds. The central building houses the main dining hall, administrative offices, recreational facilities and activities centers while the four residence wings provide living quarters for residents. The City of Cameron donated the land for the project.
Missouri Veterans Home Dining Hall
The spacious dining hall at the Missouri Veterans Home will seat 300 and serves as a meeting room and center for entertainment, recreation and activities. The Home features an aviary with several varieties of bird species for the enjoyment of veteran residents and visitors.
Veterans Affairs Clinic
The V-A outpatient clinic, which opened in 2002, is on the campus of the Missouri Veterans Home and brings primary and psychological medical services closer to veterans from all over northwest Missouri.
